This morning we woke up to temperatures below freezing. It’s gotten colder and colder as the day has progressed. The official reading at 10 AM was -9.2 C/15.4 F. Which should be true for our place as well, since the weather station is only 100 m/109 yards away. But it’s beautiful outside. At least in the short hours the sun is up. So I took some pictures to show those who don’t live here what it looks like. more »

We took a walk down to the river this afternoon. The weather was pretty warm for this time of year, and sunny. It got a bit harder to walk than we initially thought. The hill was steep, the underbrush dense, and there was a lot of fallen trees and branches on the ground. I managed to snap a few shots on the way.

After that walk, I wasn’t surprised that Lilith was exhausted. I was as well, at least my feet and knees.

I thought I’d show off some pictures taken in the area where I live. The village is called Soknedal, and fit’s in a beautiful area of Norway.
For those who want a map, there’s one here.

Winter is most definitely here to stay. Here are some of the winter pictures I’ve taken lately. The last ones I took this morning when I noticed they’d started decorating for Christmas. I think it’s a bit early to start that now. But then again, the candy and the soda has been in the shops for a month already. It was a bit dark, and I used my phone, so the pictures are a bit fuzzy.

This Saturday we had or second real snowfall, and we got a lot more during the night towards Sunday. All in all about 12 cm/4 inches. In addition to this, we woke up today to freezing temperatures. It was -12 degrees Celsius (10.4 F). We had some fun in the snow both on Saturday and Sunday though. I did my Alvablót on Saturday, and as soon as I’ve transferred the pics, I’ll do a post on that as well.
The Tarot Cards are coming to an end, I just have two more left. After
that I’m planning to do a series on the interpretation of the runes of
the Elder Futhark, but it might be a while before I get that started.
