The Clothes

I ordered this from Medieval Fantasies in the US (Pleasant Peasant Dress).

I ordered it because I needed something that would fit even if I got bigger than I thought I would get. It was ordered on the 11th of June and the last of the shipping was paid on the 14th of June. They sent it by International Priority Mail (USPS) on the 5th of July (!). I was told about this after I asked rather sharply where it was. It hadn’t arrived on the day before the , so me and Sibylle went panic shopping at a mall in the city. When we were about to give in, we found a red blouse (extremely cheap actually) and a black skirt that could pass for . I braided a belt and made a leather pouch for my phone. By the way, the dress still hasn’t arrived! I’ve asked to get my money back and they’ve said that this will be done when they get the from USPS. Not that I can see why they have to wait for that.

My husband wore a plain white shirt and green pants (both modern). I made his leather vest, the pouch for his cigarettes and the belt from leather I bought from Granberg Garveri. We got the idea for the vest from Leather Lore (They call it a jerkin).

Neither me nor my husband wore shoes (the easier and cheaper option, and it sort of felt right).

Sibylle ordered her dress tailor made from Die Gewandshneider von Avalon in Germany. Her shoes look just like the black shoes they have there, but she already owned a pair, so she didn’t have to buy them.
