Decorations Outside

I’ve taken some of our Decorations outside. Just a few, but there’s really nothing more to show. I’ll do a separate post on the inside of the house, as soon as it’s clean and finished.

MRI Day

I wore the lovely, naalebound hat I got from Ingvild again today. I find I like wearing ‘pointy’ hats. maybe it’s the witch in me :D I need to make more of these, and I’m definitely making myself a Chaperon. By the way, the only reason it’s standing up  like that, is that my bun is in the point.

It turned out to be a long and hard day. I arrived in around 8 AM. I had planned on returning some before going to Unilabs, but discovered that the doesn’t have anywhere to deposit books outside of their opening hours. So I had to do that after the MRI. I’m thinking all this carrying of books might get any injury to show up even more clearly as well. It was far from comfortable.

If you’re surprised that I’m writing at all with my shoulders in this condition, there are more ways of writing than sitting at a desk, in front of a computer. I’m mostly using my , since it doesn’t require me resting my arms on anything. I’m also using my laptop, since I can lay down on the couch and write, which also prevents some of the unnecessary pain. Another thing I wish to make clear, is that I didn’t write all this in one go, it was written in increments throughout the day, and then edited together.

Cold but Beautiful

This we woke up to below . It’s gotten colder and colder as the day has progressed. The official reading at 10 AM was -9.2 C/15.4 F. Which should be true for our place as well, since the station is only 100 m/109 yards away. But it’s beautiful outside. At least in the short hours the is up. So I took some to show those who don’t live here what it looks like. more »

A Walk to the River

We took a walk down to the this afternoon. The weather was pretty warm for this time of year, and sunny. It got a bit harder to walk than we initially thought. The hill was steep, the dense, and there was a lot of fallen trees and branches on the ground. I managed to snap a few shots on the way.

We started by walking along the edge of the field below our house.

We walked up through this. Up a hill so steep you had to crawl in some places.

After that walk, I wasn’t surprised that was exhausted. I was as well, at least my feet and .

Foraging for Hazel

On Saturday we went foraging for Hazel, both and wood. We managed to find both, but we got very muddy and a bit wet. It was raining off and on, and the ground was soaked. We zigzagged between puddles and cow patties, but the was unavoidable.
