I’ve taken some pictures of our Jul Decorations outside. Just a few, but there’s really nothing more to show. I’ll do a separate post on the inside of the house, as soon as it’s clean and finished.

I wore the lovely, naalebound hat I got from Ingvild again today. I find I like wearing ‘pointy’ hats. maybe it’s the witch in me
I need to make more of these, and I’m definitely making myself a Chaperon. By the way, the only reason it’s standing up like that, is that my bun is in the point.
It turned out to be a long and hard day. I arrived in Trondheim around 8 AM. I had planned on returning some books before going to Unilabs, but discovered that the library doesn’t have anywhere to deposit books outside of their opening hours. So I had to do that after the MRI. I’m thinking all this carrying of books might get any injury to show up even more clearly as well. It was far from comfortable.
If you’re surprised that I’m writing at all with my shoulders in this condition, there are more ways of writing than sitting at a desk, in front of a computer. I’m mostly using my phone, since it doesn’t require me resting my arms on anything. I’m also using my laptop, since I can lay down on the couch and write, which also prevents some of the unnecessary pain. Another thing I wish to make clear, is that I didn’t write all this in one go, it was written in increments throughout the day, and then edited together.

This morning we woke up to temperatures below freezing. It’s gotten colder and colder as the day has progressed. The official reading at 10 AM was -9.2 C/15.4 F. Which should be true for our place as well, since the weather station is only 100 m/109 yards away. But it’s beautiful outside. At least in the short hours the sun is up. So I took some pictures to show those who don’t live here what it looks like. more »

We took a walk down to the river this afternoon. The weather was pretty warm for this time of year, and sunny. It got a bit harder to walk than we initially thought. The hill was steep, the underbrush dense, and there was a lot of fallen trees and branches on the ground. I managed to snap a few shots on the way.

After that walk, I wasn’t surprised that Lilith was exhausted. I was as well, at least my feet and knees.

On Saturday we went foraging for Hazel, both nuts and wood. We managed to find both, but we got very muddy and a bit wet. It was raining off and on, and the ground was soaked. We zigzagged between puddles and cow patties, but the mud was unavoidable.

I quickly realized that I should have brought my rubber boots. I didn’t because I was supposed to drive home. That didn’t happen because my knees were shot after walking up- and downhill in very slippery conditions.

I joined the Creative Every Day 2011 Challenge a while ago, but I can’t say I’ve been good at checking in. So I thought I’d start doing so today.
This is a picture I took using my phone, and edited in SnapBucket. For those who don’t know that, it’s like Instagram for those who don’t have iPhones. You take a photo, add effects, vignettes and/or frames, then share it. I like it, and I’ve taken pictures almost every day now. It’s one of my ways to stay creative through a busy day.
