In 2010 they uncovered an unprecedented find outside Trondheim. This will now be obliterated to build apartments. Since the holidays, a group of people have been working to save what can be saved.

On the 22nd of July 2011, Norway suffered it’s worst attack since World War II.
In one day, we lost 77 people, most of whom were younger than 20, to a madman seeking fame. It started with a bomb in the national government headquarters in Oslo, and ended with mass murder at a political camp at Utøya.
I refuse to publish his name, and I don’t like that media gave, and continues to give him so much personal attention. Like the picture says: Remember the act, and the victims, but not the name.
If you’d like to read more about it, there are lots of articles on line. But I ask that you show some respect, and don’t contribute to his fame, and that you stick to reliable sources for your information. Here are some pictures of the flower offerings in the days after the attack.

I was checking my blog subscriptions in Google Reader, when i stumbled across this post at The Domestic Pagan.
It’s about the Witchy Enough Campaign, which Maggy Guerrero at Pagan Culture created, after being inspired by Fire Lyte’s Project Pagan Enough at Inciting a Riot.
I find this campaign very well worst supporting. I know many a witch who feel that they’re not ‘witchy enough’. I myself have problems with this on some days. Especially on regular workdays. It’s hard to incorporate magic into computer support.
You can find the Campaign itself here: http://pagan-culture.blogspot.com/2011/03/witchy-enough-campaign.html

I believe that World Peace is a utopia, because of the way humans are by nature. But I hope we can take some steps to get as close to it as possible. As I see it, the world would be a better place if the human race could keep religion out of politics. I know this is much to ask, but I really think it would help if we could kick the religious leaders off the political playground. Yes, I’m calling it a playground. I find many politicians both naive and childish.

Spring’s here, the days are getting a little longer, and it’s time once
again for Earth Hour. If you haven’t heard of this, it’s a growing
movement that encourages people to shut off their lights for one hour in
an effort to call for action on climate change. It’s not a partisan
issue, it’s not a political one, it’s simply a chance to take an hour
out of your schedule and cut back on your energy consumption.
This year’s Earth Hour is planned for Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 8:30
p.m. local time. Stock up on a few candles, grab a book or two to read,
and a blanket to snuggle under, and shut things down for sixty minutes.
For more info, be sure to check out Earth Hour 2010.
